Frequently asked questions

Where can I go?

You can find all the current Erasmus+ partner universities HERE.

If I do Erasmus, will I miss anything in Lincoln ? (Psychology)

No! If you are going for the full academic year, the University will treat you as a sandwich year student – once you finish your Erasmus, you will carry on where you left off.

Do I have to pay tuition fees when I am doing Erasmus?

Some universities charge students even when they study abroad, but going abroad as a University of Lincoln student is free.

Will I get any money for my Erasmus?

You can get a grant if you are taking part in Erasmus+; HERE are the older rates to give you an idea about what you might get.

Will my my modules abroad count towards my degree ? (Psychology)

As of now, your modules do not count towards your degree. While this might be a disadvantage for some, other people view it as an opportunity to do something they would not be able to do at their home university!

Will my Erasmus grades influence my final marks ? (Psychology)

As of now, they won’t! You simply have to pass your exams.

Who do I talk to when I need more information?

Your first point of contact should be the Global Opportunities department.

Are there any opportunities to learn the language before I go?

There is a student-led initiative called ‘Cultural Exchange Sessions Lincoln‘ that offers language and culture sessions for free!
